Privacy Policy

Mekoros LLC (“Mekoros,” “we,” “us”) helps you find, verify, and organize primary Torah sources. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with. Questions: ruachdaas@gmail.com.

Information we collect

• Account information — when you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name, and profile picture to create and identify your account. We do not receive your Google password.
• Content you create — the searches you run and the source sheets you save.
• Technical data — your IP address, used solely for rate-limiting and abuse prevention, plus standard request logs.
• Cookies — a session cookie (via Supabase Auth) to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How we use it

To provide the service, save your work, keep you signed in, prevent abuse, and contact you about your account. We do not sell your personal information.

Who processes your data

We share data only with the service providers needed to run Mekoros:

• Supabase — database and authentication.
• Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI — your search query and the text you submit are sent to these AI providers to generate and verify source suggestions. Your name and email are never shared with Anthropic (Claude) or OpenAI.
• Google — sign-in (OAuth).
• Vercel — hosting and content delivery.
• Sefaria — we fetch public Torah texts from Sefaria to verify and display sources; we send the textual reference, not your identity.

Public searches

A search you save may appear publicly on the Discover page (its title, description, and the sources it found). You can hide a saved search so it is no longer public.

Retention & your choices

We keep your account data while your account is active. You can hide saved searches at any time. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email ruachdaas@gmail.com; in-app account controls are coming.

Children

Mekoros is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; the effective date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be noted here.
