These terms govern your use of Mekoros, operated by Mekoros LLC (a Florida limited liability company). By using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Mekoros.

What Mekoros does

Mekoros helps you find, verify, and organize primary Torah sources across Tanach, Talmud, Rishonim, and Acharonim.

Source accuracy & halacha

Mekoros’s results are AI-assisted and may contain errors, mis-attributions, or omissions. A “verified” label means the cited text was matched to a source on Sefaria — not that the interpretation is authoritative. Mekoros is a learning aid: always check a source inside before relying on it, and do not rely on Mekoros for halachic decisions. It is not a substitute for your own study or guidance from a qualified rabbinic authority (a posek).

Your account

You are responsible for activity under your account. Keep your sign-in secure and let us know of any unauthorized use.

Acceptable use

Do not abuse, overload, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the service or its automated endpoints; do not use Mekoros for unlawful purposes or to infringe others’ rights.

Content & intellectual property

Torah texts are retrieved from Sefaria and remain subject to Sefaria’s terms and the licenses of the underlying works. The Mekoros name and design are ours. Source sheets you create remain yours; by making a search public you allow its title, description, and results to appear on the Discover page.

No warranty

Mekoros is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mekoros LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes

We may update these terms; the effective date above reflects the latest version.
