VerifiedShulchan Arukh, Orach Chayim – Bracha Achrona Minimum Amount
Shulchan Arukh, Orach Chayim 210:1
The Shulchan Arukh rules that a bracha achrona is only recited if one has eaten a k'zayit (olive's bulk) of the food in question within the time of k'dei achilat pras (approximately 3-4 minutes). This shiur applies to Al HaMichya on grain foods.
One who eats less than a כזית, whether it's from bread or it's from other foods, or one drinks less than a רביעית, whether it's from wine or other beverages, one blesses at the outset of blessing that is fit for that particular type and one does not bless a post-consumption blessing at all.
Why it matters — Establishes the minimum amount of oatmeal one must eat to be obligated to recite Al HaMichya afterward.

VerifiedMishnah Berurah – Dissolved Grain
Mishnah Berurah 208:15
The Mishnah Berurah discusses whether grain that has been fully dissolved and lost its form still retains the Mezonot bracha status, or whether it reverts to Shehakol. He rules that even fully dissolved grain from the five species retains its Mezonot and Al HaMichya status.
Why it matters — Oatmeal is often very soft and porridge-like; this ruling confirms that Al HaMichya is still recited even when the grain is fully broken down.

Shulchan Arukh, Orach Chayim 208:1-2
The Shulchan Arukh rules that cooked grain dishes from the five species require Borei Minei Mezonot before eating and Al HaMichya (Me'ein Shalosh) after. He also addresses the case of grain that has become fully dissolved.
On the five species, i.e., grapes, figs, pomegranate, olives and dates one recites afterwards the beracha Ma'ein shalosh
Why it matters — The primary practical halachic ruling on bracha achrona for cooked grain foods like oatmeal.
