Q — Why is Yom Kippur not mentioned anywhere in נביאים, while Pesach is?

A — Originally Yom Kippur was a PRIVATE festival — everyone fasted at home and the כה״ג alone served in the Mikdash; there was no "הרגש לאומי." Pesach, by contrast, gathered all of Israel in Yerushalayim. Only in the second Bayit, when prophecy ceased and Israel were רעבים לדבר ה', did the YK avodah become an annual closest-to-nevuah experience (Yochanan KG, Shimon HaTzaddik, R' Yishmael ben Elisha) — at which point the gedolim gathered to hear devar Hashem through the כה״ג, transforming YK into a national festival.
