Meshekh Chokhmah, Vayakhel:16

Q — What was Betzalel's wisdom in correcting the order "אהל, ארון וכלים" rather than "ארון, כלים ואהל"?

A — An individual Jew's kedushah is less than the kelim of the Mishkan — but the COLLECTIVE Klal Yisrael's kedushah is greater than all of them. Parshat Terumah orders by individual sanctity (kelim before mishkan); but the broader Ki Tisa command lists mishkan first, because the assembled whole transcends the sum of its parts — just as creation's daily "כי טוב" was crowned with "טוב מאד" over the whole. Betzalel "knew to combine letters" — to perceive how the whole produces something greater than any of its individual elements.
