Netzach Yisrael 1:1
Maharal frames exile and redemption through the distinction between Israel’s essential spiritual identity and its present historical condition, establishing a central axis for comparison with Ramchal’s redemptive system.
When a good thing is known from its opposite, that is true knowledge. The knowledge of all things is acquired from their opposite. It is from the appearance of black that one can gain knowledge of the appearance of white. And smilarly with all opposites. From one is acquired the knowledge of its opposite. It is widely accepted that "the knowledge of opposites is all one thing". Because of this, the [Sages] say in Arvei Pesachim (The final chapter of Babylonian Talmud Tractate Pesachim 116a) that in the Haggadah "one begins with disgrace and concludes with praise". Why do they begin with disgrace? Only because true praise can only be recognised from its opposite. Therefore, we cannot explain the the concept of the final redemption [geulah], without explaining the concept of exile [galut] and churban [destruction of the temple in Jerusalem]. It is by this means that we can come to know the goodness and salvation which we hope for. When we come to explain the concept of exile with true knowledge, we will need to start with the cause of the exile, and matters connected to the exile. There is another reason to explain the concept of exile first. The exile itself is proof and clear imperative for redemption. This is because there is no doubt that exile is an alteration and departure from the normal order. The Blessed Holy One arranged each nation in the place which is appropriate for it, so he arranged the People of Israel into the place which is appropriate for it, namely the Land of Israel. Exile from their place is a complete alteration and departure [from that order]. Anything which departs from its natural place, which is outside its place, is unable to stay in the place which is not natural for it. Rather they need to return to their natural place. Because if they remain in a place which is unnatural for them, then the unnatural would become natural. And it is impossible for the unnatural to become natural. A metaphor: it is like trying to force fire to stay down, when it's natural state is to rise - or like trying to hold up solid matter, when its natural state is to fall to the earth. If you could achieve that, then you would be making the unnatural natural. Similarly with the People of Israel themselves. If they were to stay in exile for ever, which is not the right place for them to be (since the right place for them, according to the order of existence, is the Land of Israel under their own sovereignty and not under the sovereignty of any other). Just like everything in natural existence, each one has its own place as our sages decreed (Pirkei Avot 4:3) "There is nothing which does not have its place". Each thing under its own sovereignty. If they would remain in exile forever, then this thing (unnaturally standing outside their place) would become natural. Only natural things can stand permanently, because the nature which the Blessed Holy One gave to each thing is what sustains it such that it is established to stand forever. If an unnatural state of affairs were to exist forever, even though it was not according to the order and nature of existence, then the nature of that thing would be loosened and nullified completely for no purpose, and such a thing could not happen.

The text states that the Jewish people's current exile outside their land under foreign rule contradicts the natural order of the world, and such a condition could not persist even temporarily without divine decree; therefore, either this exile must end and the natural order be restored, or God's specific decree sustaining it must remain in effect.

Kalach Pitchei Chokhmah 1-5
Ramchal introduces a structured presentation of the kabbalistic order and its relation to providence and human history. It is useful for identifying where his terminology and method differ from Maharal’s.
The oneness of Eyn Sof – He who has “No End”, blessed be He – lies in the fact that only His Will exists, and no other will exists except through Him. Therefore He alone is in control and not any other will. The entire structure is built on this foundation. God’s supreme unity is the foundation of faith and the root of wisdom. Accordingly, this is what must be explained first. For the entire Wisdom of Truth (חכמת האמת, Chochmat HaEmet, the Kabbalah) comes only to demonstrate the truth of Faith (אמונה, Emunah). It comes to explain how all the created realms and beings and everything that happens in the universe all emerge from the Supreme Will (הרצון העליון, HaRatzon HaElyon). It shows how everything is governed in the right way by the One God, blessed be He, to bring the entire cycle of creation to complete perfection in the end. The component details of this wisdom provide detailed understanding of all the laws and processes by which the universe is governed. Thus the first axiom of this wisdom is that everything we see, including all created beings and all that occurs within time, is under only One Master, blessed be He. God alone makes and does all this, and He governs everything. The purpose of this wisdom is to explain the ways in which He acts to make and govern the creation. If so, the oneness of God is what we must explain first, since this is the very foundation of the creation, as will be explained. If we can understand this subject, we will have an understanding of the foundation of the creation, its root and purpose. Accordingly, it is certainly proper to explain this first.

The human specie changed: And among that which one must also know is that the nature of the human specie that we see and distinguish now is not like at first. Rather there was a great change in him, and that is the matter of the sin of the first man (Adam) - as through it, man and the world were changed from what they were at the beginning. And there are indeed many components of this change and its outgrowths, and we will write about them in the continuation with God's help (Part 2, On Israel and the Nations 2). And it comes out that discussion about the human specie and distinguishing its properties [needs to be] doubled. For he and his properties before the sin will be discussed, as will he and his properties from the aspect of [the situation] after the sin - as we shall still elucidate, with God's help (Below, Paragraph 8). Behold that at the time of his formation, the first man was completely in the situation that we have mentioned until now. This means that he was surely joined from the two opposite parts that we mentioned - which are the soul and the body. And there were the two [possibilities] in the world - the good and the evil, and he stood between them evenly, to cleave to the one of them that he would want. And it was surely fitting for him to choose the good, that his soul should win over his body and his spirit over his materiality; and then he would have been perfected immediately and stayed in his perfection forever. The effects of the soul on the body: And you need to know that even thought we don't feel any effect of the soul on the body except for life and awareness, behold that among its axioms is that it purifies the actual body and its material, and it raises it up - one lift after [another] - with regard to its becoming fit to accompany it in the pleasure [of] perfection. And in truth, the first man would have reached this thing if he had not sinned - his soul would have purified his body, one purification after [another], until it would have been purified [with] the necessary and established measure for everlasting delight. The outgrowths of the sin of the first man: But once he sinned, a great change happened to things. And that is that at first there were surely sufficient deficiencies in the creation that the first man would be in the equal condition that we mentioned, so there would be room for him to earn perfections through the 'effort of his [own] hands.' With his sin, however, deficiencies were added; and they grew in the essence of man and in all of the entire creation. Moreover the redress became more difficult than before. The explanation of this is that surely at the beginning it was easy for [man] to go away from the deficiency planted in him and to acquire perfection. For the Supreme Wisdom set up the things like this according to the traits of good and fairness. And since man was not the cause of the evil and the deficiency within him - but it was rather planted in him in his creation - when he removed himself from the evil and turned to the good, he was surely immediately able to go away from deficiency and acquire perfection. However with his sin - since it was through him that perfection became more hidden than it was and the deficiencies grew, and he was the one that caused evil to himself - it would no longer be as easy for him to return and to go away from deficiency and acquire perfection as it was at the time that he was not the cause of his deficiency, but was rather [just] created like that from his beginning, as I have written. All the more so [would it be harder], as the striving required of him now to reach perfection would perforce be doubled: For he would first need that man and the world return to the condition that existed at the beginning before the sin; and then afterwards to rise above that condition to a condition of perfection to which it was fit for man to rise.

Gevurot Hashem 1:4
Maharal presents the Exodus as an event whose miraculous character expresses a metaphysical separation between Israel and natural historical causality.
Therefore, one must ask, how can we be commanded to praise God's mighty acts that took place during the Exodus? Why not say, "Who can tell the mighty acts of Adonai, proclaim all God's praise,” and refrain from praising God. It is true that we are incapable of "telling the mighty acts of God and proclaiming all God's praise." The reason we speak of God's mighty acts on Passover eve is not for God's sake but for our own sake. We recite these praises so that we don’t become ungrateful for the miracles and wonders that God has performed for us. If we give thanks for even a small portion of that which God has done for us then we are less likely to become ungrateful.

Since human apprehension is necessarily related to the human as his apprehension, the thing apprehended cannot be entirely separate from the apprehending human; for if it were completely separate from him, it would be impossible for him to apprehend it, since apprehension that belongs to a human must be related to him, and therefore a thing entirely separate from him cannot be apprehended by him.

Derekh Hashem, Part Three, On Moshe's Unique Status 1:1-3:8
Ramchal describes prophecy, divine service, and the means by which a person reaches perfection, providing a strong comparison point for Maharal’s account of Torah and human form.
The difference between all the [other] prophets and our teacher Moses, peace be upon him: More generally, prophecy is divided into two levels: The first is the level of all the prophets besides our teacher Moses, peace be upon him; and the second is the level of our teacher Moses, peace be upon him. And the Holy One, blessed be He, Himself divided them in this [way] and explained their difference in Scripture, (Numbers 12:6-7) "When a prophet of the Lord arises among you, I make Myself known to him in a vision, etc. Not so with My servant Moses, etc." The prophecy of Moses: But Moses' prophecy was superior to all this. And that is, first, that he did not need to depart from his senses and his perceptions, nor to dream at all. Rather prophecy came to him while he was in his regular state. And that is that which is stated about him (Numbers 12:8), "Mouth to mouth will I speak to him." And the matter would be revealed to him like one who sees though a single lens alone, and it itself is polished. And the knowledge would come to him clearly and not through riddles; and that is that which is stated, "and plainly and without riddles." Yet even to him, [God's] glory only appeared according to that which he was able to receive. And it was like the image that is created in a mirror. For in any event, it is impossible for a man to see his Creator. However it was in such a way that he could at least grasp that image fully and clearly, like one who sees through a polished and bright lens that does not hinder one from seeing. And about this is it stated, "and he observes a picture of the Lord" - for he was able to observe that image that was formed very well. This was not the case for other prophets, as they were not able to master even that image well. And behold that from the image that he was able to grasp, he would attain a great and very clear understanding - more than all the other prophets, as we have written. And another difference between the other prophets and Moses is that in was not in the hands of the other prophets to prophesy at any time. Rather, they would [only] prophesy at the time that the Creator, blessed be He, wanted to have His prophetic flow rest upon them. But [in the case of] Moses, the matter depended on his own will. And it was given over to his hands to connect with Him, may He be blessed, and to bring down revelation to himself whenever it was needed. Also the other prophets only received specific matters that the Master, blessed be He, wanted to reveal to them; whereas Moses merited that all the orders of creation be revealed to him. And permission was given to him to examine and to search everything; and all of the keys that were ever given to any people, were given to him. And this is what is stated by the verse (Numbers 12:7), "he is trusted in all My house." And it is likewise stated (Exodus 33:19), "I will make all My goodness pass before you."

Gevurot Hashem, Summary of the Laws of Pesach
The mitzvah of four cups is rabbinic in origin; since eating matzah, maror, and Pesach are biblically mandated for redemption and eating cannot occur without drinking, the drinking must likewise be connected to redemption—otherwise eating itself would not truly be for redemption's sake, yet drinking without connection to redemption is impossible, so drinking must necessarily relate to redemption.

Arukh HaShulchan, Even HaEzer 22:6
A married woman whose husband is in the city may be secluded with a man since fear of her husband restrains her, though some say this is forbidden initially; however, if the man and woman are familiar (having grown up together, being relatives, or having business dealings), seclusion is forbidden even when the husband is in the city, especially if he is jealous of that man; similarly, if there is an open entrance to the public domain that is not locked, seclusion is not forbidden after the fact, but if there is familiarity or jealousy, seclusion is forbidden as stated.
