A — Kli Yakar's striking pshat: 'לו' refers not to Avraham but to *Eliezer himself*. Most people are ruled BY their money — desire for wealth bends them to do whatever the money demands. Eliezer was the opposite: master of his own possessions ('הוא מושל על כל אשר לו, ואין ממונו מושל בו'). That is precisely why Avraham trusted him with the matchmaking: a man on whom money has no grip will not accept a girl unfit for his master's son just because the temptation is there. The title is the qualification.
