Q — Why is the word 'כשלחו' included in the verse — could it not have read simply 'אחרי כן ישלח אתכם מזה כלה גרש יגרש'?

A — Kli Yakar reads Hashem's words to Moshe as direct consolation. Moshe had been humiliated by Pharaoh's earlier ejections — at the locust plague Pharaoh 'drove him out' (10:11), at darkness Pharaoh told him 'אל תוסף עוד ראות פני' (10:28). Hashem reframes the humiliation as a progression: each ejection was worse for Pharaoh, not Moshe. At first only Moshe and Aharon were driven out; finally, 'כשלחו' — when the moment of sending comes — Pharaoh will drive out *all* of Bnei Yisrael, 'כלה גרש יגרש.' The escalating pattern of ejections is the leading edge of yetziat Mitzrayim itself.
